In the glamorous AIFW new talents, well-known names and trendy labels come all together to create one spectacular event. The 14th Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) will take place from 26th to 30thJanuary 2011 and will be held at the Westergasterrein in Amsterdam.The opening of the exclusive appearances on Wednesday, 26th of January will be a show by Jan Taminiau.
The agenda for the next few days will be full of brilliant designers, well-known names and trendy labels.
There will be surprises as well such as several new names which will appear in the program. Bas Costers, Tony Cohen and Velour will introduce themselves for the first time in the AIFW N 14.
The Fashion Week LAB will supply a stage for eight determined young designers. What is more, this year the AIFW will organize DOWNTOWN, which is a diverse program of fashion -linked activities open to the public that will open at the INDIVIDUALS brand store.
The motto of AIFW is: ‘’Celebrate, Connect and Glow”. Actually the first edition of AIFW was in 2004. The main purpose was to put Amsterdam out there on the ‘’World fashion Stage” as an inspirational, globally oriented fashion destination. By now, the AIFW has shown the most gorgeous and the most inspirational fashion design and creativity that the Netherlands has to offer.
AIFW has numerous partners in an assortment of disciplines within the fashion industry area and consists of designers, businesses, academies and branch institutes.
One of AIFW’s main goals is to strengthen the fashion network and an enlargement the of the success of the Dutch fashion sector.
The AIFW is the top podium for all these subject matters especially in promotional aspects.
