Avoriaz is a part of the 14 resorts which form the ”Portes du Soleil” ski region. The French resort is situated exactly in the middle of this enormous zone. It presents to its visitors diverse environment and scenery. There you can find uncomplicated slopes which are accessible (27) but if you are searching for more tough terrain (14 intermediate slopes) you will also be extremely satisfied.
At the resort you will find available lifts, gondolas and cable cars. Lift passes are obtainable at special prices. A full-day lift pass costs 32.80 euro for an adult and 22euros for a kid.
You need to plan your budget in advance. To help you do that we will tell you what to expect about the prices.
If you choose to fly into Geneva, you should know that you will pay around 100 Euros for a rout trip flight leaving from London as all the taxes are also included.
As for the accommodation, there are a lot of places situated just within the resort. The prices variety is between 42 Euros per night per person in a 2-star hotel and 64 Euros per night per person in a 3-star hotel.
In order to get there you may choose between three main airports close to Avoriaz: Geneva, Annecy and Lyon.
They are all served by lots of low-cost carriers. When you arrive at the airport you can simply rent a car or you can ask the hotel to pick you up.
