Once again, fashion week struts into Amsterdam bringing the city out of the dark and shining a light upon all things fashion. Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW), summer edition, is happening July 19th through the 28th at the Westergasfabriek area.
Beginning in 2004, AIFW started because they wanted to put Amsterdam on the map as a “sparkling and international oriented fashion city”. Fashion week happens twice a year in Amsterdam and includes a full schedule of catwalk shows, trade fairs, presentations, lectures, and, of course, parties.
Fortis will be the main sponser and partner of AIFW. AIFW is supported by the following partners; Redken, Maybelline New York, Heineken, NS, Moet & Chandon, Amsterdam Airport Area, JCDecaux, Evian, Enorm, Torres, Lavazza, Amsterdam Partners, and the City of Amsterdam.

All of these open-to-the-public events are organized in collaboration with museums, galleries, shops, and clubs.
