The Spoke is one of the magazines that will go the extra step/mile/ KM or 600 of them in this case, just to bring its readers a fresh view at unique events, first raw view.
We were invited to Paris lately to attend the Prêt A porter, the world renowned fashion trade fair.
This is the first time we are visiting this event and it took few minutes before we got ourselves together and started shooting and interviewing. Our first item to present our readers is without a doubt Lisca lingerie and swimwear line. This unique Slovenian design for lingerie and swimwear caught our immediate attention.
Last week, Tall Ships visited Delfsail in Delfzijl, north Holland. Tall Ships fairs are a major attraction for many people enjoying looking at classic full rigged ships sailing or docking. Just like a glimpse to a romantic period where tall and fast ships dominated the oceans enabling mankind to travel and explore far countries and continent but mainly boosting trade and prosperity.
Fantastic Amsterdam, the medieval fair visited Amsterdamse Bos last week and gave the city a short time travel back to the dark ages. A time of Knights in their shining armours, riding horses, kings, queens, fairies and Elfs in their immortal battle against witches and dark forces.
Canal gay pride August 1st 2009 was a major happening in Amsterdam where lots of boats and rafts participated in a canal cruise. People from all over the world are flooding Amsterdam to view the parade and to participate in that weekend wild party. Gay or not, party is a party and it is the thing we do best here in Amsterdam.
The AIFW event was definitely one of Amsterdam’s main events this summer. The Amsterdam fashion week is an opportunity for fashion designers to show their new collection and for the rest of the country to view. Entrance to AIFW event is by invitation only and no tickets are being sold. This is our main reason to cover this event.
The island of Bali offers a vacation experience like no other. Glorious beaches, lush rainforests, luxurious villas, and a fascinating native culture make this island a true paradise for visitors.
Bali is an Indonesian island on the western end of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Its capital is the city of Denpasar in the south. Visitors tend to flock to Kuta, Sanur, and Jimbaran, all southern coastal towns, but the central town of Ubud and other parts of Bali are equally compelling. Gleaming white and black sand beaches ring the island's shores, lapped gently by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Rich coral reefs surround the island and allow for superb snorkeling and diving. The island rises in mountains toward its interior, and bursts with tropical flowers and trees. Bali's rainforests are home to hundreds of species of rare birds as well as monkeys, bats, wild cats, and other creatures.
