The annual trade fair Salon International de la Lingerie opened doors on 25, 26 and 27 January 2014 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The magical world of lingerie was brought to the public together with the appealing trends for Fall/Winter 2014/2015. More than 26,390 visitors, 550 exhibitors and 600 journalists shared inspiration and knowledge about shapes, cuts, cut-outs, colors and innovations.
Salon International de la Lingerie Areas
There were different areas, including Hosiery, Italian Village and more. The Essentials presented the market`s key brands, Limited Edition was dedicated to young designer talents, Designer Labels featured luxury collections, Cocooning was about the most feminine ready-to-wear loungewear and nightwear brands and Super Lord was dedicated to men.
Top Brands and Innovative Products
Featured were 550 brands from all over the globe, including Alpina, DKNY, Ghiro, Janira, Nid dànge, Pip Studio, Very Victoria Silverstedt by Marie Meili, Max Mara, Horror Vacui, Luna Veneziana, Baci Lingerie, Liz France, EricaM, Maison Close and more. They presented the latest trends in lingerie, hosiery, shapewear, nightwear, slippers and accessories, including venice masks, eyelashes and nippies. Beautiful models were attracting visitors and photographers to their stands.
Catwalk Shows and Themed Events
Visitors of Salon International de la Lingerie 2014 enjoyed 3 fashion shows on a Catwalk each day. An overview of the season`s products by some brands was presented in the 30-minute show Lingerie and Cocooning. The Selection brought together the trade show`s favorite. Dancing Legs put on stage the latest hosiery products presented in a French cabaret style.
Some of the special themed events included a Food truck, a shoe shine service, personal shopper service and a photo competition. The event opened its first shop The Interfiliere Paris, offering embroidery-clad notebooks and other goodies.
Conferences on New Trends
Salon International de la Lingerie hosted conferences on different topics. Trends agencies reviewed major trends for Summer 2015 and experts talked about the web-to-store trend, reinventing the leg wear market, what sells best now and new consumer behaviors.
