The Netherlands will take over the Dutch Presidency at the 1st of January 2016 for 6 months. The Dutch government wants Europe to focus on issues that makes Europe stronger, create new jobs, stimulate innovation, and involve the citizens. Amsterdam will host the official events of the Dutch Presidency. Most events will take place at the Marineterrein. Amsterdam Smart City recently opened the Smart City Experience Lab where innovations are showcased to the visitors and functions as a place to meet. Amsterdam Economic Board is involved in Volksvlijt 2016, an exhibition about the regional economy of the future in the Public Library of Amsterdam (OBA). A concept overview of all activities can be requested by stakeholders of the Amsterdam Economic Board.
