Saskia Laroo
Hailed by American public and press at large as “Lady Miles of Europe”,Saskia is one of the few female trumpet stylists-blowing for more than three decades. Saskia Laroo combines today’s music by uncontrived romps into new styles, eagerly known as “nu jazz” or “swingin’ body-music”–a vivacious blend of hip-hop, jazz, salsa, funk reggae, and world with roots in her classical jazz background. Her artistry and her groove ring vibrantly and free on her five albums that take us on a journey through the music she has absorbed and continues to play from her heart and soul. Saskia is anticipating packed houses all over the globe for the upcoming international tour 2011-12 which will promote the release of her new CD, “Two of a Kind-A Tribute to Miles and Monk”. This album features the collaboration of Saskia and her longtime partner and fellow musician, Warren Byrd of the United States.
Michelle David
Michelle is an international artist and producer that can be linked to some of the most fabulous musicals and music projects happening in the scene today. With close to one million hits on YouTube, her 2010 Dance/House projects, “Disco Electrique” & “Move Your Body”, received rave reviews and put her on the Dutch Dance Chart for 3 weeks at number 23 and the online USA Dance Chart at number 2. Her current track with DJ Cliff entitled ‘Body to Body’ is in heavy rotation on the TMF playlist. She has also worked on projects for well known Dutch artists such as Linda Wagenmakers, Juan Wells, DJ Roog & Eric E. She is Creator and Host ofInspirational Grooves, a TV show dedicated to showcasing Holland’s best musicians. Inspirational Grooves won the highly regarded SALTO Best TV program 2010. Ms.David’s debut CD is coming out in January 2012.
