The Algarve is one of the Europe’s most gorgeous and sunny places. It gets around 3000 sunshine hours every year.This is more than California sunshine so it really deserves some consideration for visiting. Winter in the Algarve is soft. The temperatures can reach around 15C. Warm days are also quite popular, so this means that temperatures around 20C can be also experienced during the winter days.
You should hold in mind though that the nights are quite cold. Also there is a lot of rain in January and February. This should not decrease your enthusiasm as the rain falls for short periods.
The winter temperatures are quite mild and the winter average is around 14C.
The prices and the budget you need to prepare if you keep away from the Christmas and New Year high prices is not a lot. The prices are really affordable.
In January, you would pay around 110 Euro for 2 adults for travel costs.
A normal double room is a 3-star hotel costs between 46 euro and 58 euro per night.
The Algarve resort is served by Faro Airport which receives plenty of international flights.
When you get to the airport you can either arrange the hotel to supply you with transfer or you can take a taxi.
