Drie Dwaze Dagen: The 30th Anniversary of the Shopping Madness

For the 30th time the Bijenkorf opened doors for the Three Crazy Days (Dutch: Drie Dwaze Dagen). Who doesn’t love sales and discounts? Especially when they are presented in a festive atmosphere accompanied by music, costumes and games.

The high-end chain of 12 department stores Bijenkorf has been a definition of glamours and style since 1870. Every year the shopping event Drie Dwaze Dagen is very successful and attracts a huge number of buyers. This year was no exception. It does not only offer designer brands and luxury products for appealing prices, but also a great customer experience.

Drie Dwaze Dagen 2013 Kick-Off

The starting signal for the shopping madness in Amsterdam was given by the actress Halina Reijn, the fashion designer Olcay Gulsen and John Williams on Wednesday October 2, 2013 and continued until Friday, October 4. Impatient buyers stayed in line from the early morning, excited to shop the best brands for cheap prices and be the first ones to get great deals. The Bijenkorf celebrated the 30th edition of the event with musical performances, including these of Ellen ten Damme, Noemí Pasquina, Kirsten Michel and Sam Saxton.
 

Drie Dwaze Dagen 2013 Prizes

During the launch of the Three Crazy Days 2o13, three plush black panthers were hidden in the stores in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague. The prizes for the ones who found them included three-minute shopping worth € 3333; a gift card worth € 1000, with personal style advice from the fashion designer Olcay Gulsen, the stylist Jetteke van Lexmond or the personal shopper Bodo Breg; and a gift card worth € 500. The Three Crazy Days and its social media also offered the possibility for people to win prizes and vouchers.

Available were clothing, accessories, cosmetics, technology and other, discounted up to 25%, from brands like BOSS, Ralph Lauren, Bvlgari, Chanel, DKNY, Givenchy, Lanvin, MAC, Michael Kors, Swarovski, Versace and many more.
